Cervical Cancer | Prevention, Screening and Treatment | Medical Documentary Films

Cervical cancer is a cancer arising from the cervix.[1] It is due to the abnormal growth of cells that have the ability to invade or spread to other parts of the body.[2] Early on, typically no symptoms are seen. Later symptoms may include abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, or pain during sexual intercourse.[1] While bleeding after sex may not be serious, it may also indicate the presence of cervical cancer.[3]
Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection appears to be involved in the development of more than 90% of cases;[4][5] most people who have had HPV infections, however, do not develop cervical cancer. Other risk factors include smoking, a weak immune system, birth control pills, starting sex at a young age, and having many sexual partners, but these are less important.

Is Activia Good For Candida?

Find out if activia is good for candida or not. Can you have activia if you are on candida diet or not?

Greetings. It's naturopath, Eric Bakker from New Zealand, author of Candida Crusher and formulator of the Canxida range of dietary supplements. I've got a question here from a lady called Jill in Minnesota. Jill is asking me if a yogurt called Activia is good for Candida. Jill is saying here, "Eric, I've read about the Danone yogurt called Activia."

Jill, I've had a bit of a read up of Activia on the internet, and I like yogurt in general, especially good quality yogurt. And this appears to be quite a good one. It has got, however, a predominant amount of bifida bacteria in it. So they're using bifida bacteria lacto strain DN173010, so a very specific patented strain of bifida bacteria in their yogurt, which they actually call bifidus regularis. They claim that a 3-1/2 ounce serving contains around a billion active bacteria.

A good quality probiotic in a yogurt is always a very good choice to have on a regular basis whether you've got a vaginal yeast infection, which you mentioned in your email, of even for anyone with any kind of a yeast infection. It's good to have yogurt on a regular basis. A good quality yogurt is one of my favorite foods to have, in fact, as a small snack. There are different kinds of organic yogurts that I eat and, in fact, I make up my own yogurt cultures and I've done so for a long, long time now.

It's not hard to make yogurt, but this is not a bad tasting yogurt. I've tried the Danone yogurt a while ago, the Activity one, and it's actually quite okay. I'm happy for you to have this on a regular basis. I think it's a good product. However, doing a big of research on it, if you're going to use it as a very predominant source of a food containing probiotics, some research is saying you need 20, even 30 ounces of this per day, which could be like up to 850 grams or even a liter of it per day to have a seriously good effect on the gut. Make sure, if you're going to eat this yogurt on a regular basis that you also eat a sufficient amount of prebiotic foods in your diet that will help to encourage the implantation and the growing of these bacteria in your gut.

Other research has made me believe that you need a lot more than just bifida bacteria. Bifida bacteria are quite good in the colon, the large intestine. Lactobacillus is especially good in the small intestine, and there are many different kinds of lactobacillus and bifida species. When you're taking your probiotic supplement, it's good to take one with multiple strains of lactobacillus, particularly the ones that are very powerful for the immune function.

If you look at my Canxida Restore product, I've put in it lactobacillus acidophilus DDS1. We've got the lactobacillus plantarum and lactobacillus rhamnosus, lactobacillus casei, and we've got two strains of bifida longum and the bifida bifidus itself. So having these four strains of lacto and two strains of bifido in an 18 billion CFU capsule is a very powerful probiotic indeed for a yeast infection. And it's a lovely product, the Canxida Restore, to use alongside a daily serve of the Activia yogurt from Danone. I think you're going to be on a win, if you look at that jewel combination.

And also, don't forget to check out my video on the prebiotic foods. I hope that answers your question, Jill. I like this product. I think it's quite a good functional food to eat on a regular basis, and I think it should serve you quite well. Especially, if you take a good probiotic capsule like the Canxida Restore alongside it on a regular basis and include the prebiotic foods. Thanks for the question and thanks for tuning in.

Why I Recommend Lactobacillus Acidophilus DDS 1

Hi there. It's Eric Bakker, naturopath from New Zealand, author of Candida Crusher, and the formulator of Canxida, the Canxida range of dietary supplements. You may be familiar with Canxida Remove. I've just created Canxida Restore. Canxida Restore contains seven of the best enzymes I could find for people with gut problems and yeast infections, but also small intestinal bowel overgrowth, and all kinds of gut disorders. It also contains the six best beneficial bacteria, including lactobacillus acidophilus DDS 1, which I'm going to speak about today.

The acidophilus DDS 1, the Department of Dairy Science 1, is probably one of the best researched of all the lactobacilli beneficial bacteria. Dr. Khem Shahani spent over 20 years studying this one beneficial lactobacillus, lactic acid loving, beneficial bacteria. Khem has his roots in food science. Khem studied the effect of bacteria on food many, many years ago in the US, and probably was one of the world's leading researchers in his day and probably still is today for lactobacillus acidophilus.

The DDS 1 is a human strain of beneficial bacteria. It's the only one that was awarded a patent for its resistance to antibiotics. It's probably the only lactobacillus that has a resistance to antibiotics, which is very important for you to remember if you're taking antibiotics. This is not going to be killing off or affecting this lactobacillus acidophilus. There are over 200 research papers that have been published on lactobacillus acidophilus DDS 1, so ranking it probably one of the most important of all lactobacillus acidophilus probiotics that you can take. And probably the only one you seriously want to take if you're interested in the science base of beneficial bacteria and the research that exists.

There are several reasons why lactobacillus acidophilus is so important for the body. One of the most important ones is it helps the body produce lots of B vitamins. Folic acid production, B vitamin production occurs with very good levels of lactobacillus in the stool. A three or four plus is what we would find in your stool report if you had high levels of lactobacillus acidophilus. The B vitamins are very beneficial for carbohydrate metabolism and energy production. Most people who are tired have got very low levels of lactobacillus acidophilus. Most people with cancers have got very low folate levels. By having these beneficial bacteria, you're going to dramatically reduce your chances of developing fatigue, cancers, and many different types of diseases for that reason.

Acidophilin is a type of chemical produced by these bacteria. It's a very powerful antibiotic that has been shown to be effective on over 23 different types of pathogenic bacteria alone. It's more potent than tobramycin, gentamycin; many different types of antibiotics don't even come near the strength of the acidophilin produced by these particular bacteria. Again, why would you want to take antibiotics when you can have beneficial bacteria that actually produce several types of antibiotics themselves? It's crazy. Those are two powerful reasons.

The third reason is the production of enzymes. Protease, lipase, lactase enzymes are produced by lactobacillus that helps to break down food in your gut, so you need to break it down with your teeth first, of course. The macro particles break them down to small particles and then the micro particles will get reduced to virtually nothing by bacteria that produce enzymes. You need lots of enzymes to break food down properly.

That's why when I developed Canxida Restore I put lots of enzymes in there to greatly assist in that process. I've got several enzymes that help break down different types of carbohydrates, a few that break down protein and fat, so very, very important to have lots of enzymes at the same time as the lactobacillus species when you're starting out trying to restore your gut. That product I developed is called Canxida Restore. Look out for it at Canxida.com.

What Dosage Of CanXida Remove Do You Recommend?

A question I get asked all the time, how many tablets of canxida should I take per day to treat my candida yeast infection? Find out my answer in this video.
